Photo a Day: February

February - the month of love, Valentine's Day, and Groundhog Day - Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow and correctly predicted six more weeks of winter.  It's been ridiculously mild for us here in the south of England although some parts have been horribly flooded leaving people without electricity and in some cases, a home.  We were lucky as there hasn't really been any flooding here although a massive sinkhole did open up in Hemel Hempstead on the road we use to get to work!

Song of the month: Sorry for this earworm but it has to be this - Baby Monkey (Going Backwards on a Pig)

Film of the month: Philomena - Judi Dench plays Philomena, a woman whose baby was taken away from her for adoption when she lived in a convent in the 50s.  Steve Coogan plays a journalist who shares her journey to America to find the adopted son.  I expected it to be a bit dull but Judi Dench's quick wit livened it up and the whole story was just plain touching!

Tv of the month: The League - I am not interested in American football or fantasy football one bit but that hasn't stopped me from loving every minute of this series!  A group of friends run a fantasy football league and stop at nothing to win.

Favourite food of the month: Not really food but too delicious not to mention - Kinder mini eggs.  All the normal Kinder chocolate-y goodness but filled with a creamy centre with hazelnuts.  For once I was glad that Easter arrived in the supermarkets early!

Best day: Valentine's day - got another beautiful card from Mr Jones with beautiful words!

Worst day: Bad, bad Crohn's flare up for a couple of weeks.  Luckily the funding for Humira has been approved so hopefully will start it soon!
